Weander assumes command of USACE’s Latin America & Caribbean District

Lt. Col. Nate Weander delivers remarks following the change of command ceremony for the newly redesignated U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Latin America & Caribbean District at Castillo San Cristóbal in San Juan, Puerto Rico. As the first commander to lead the district under its expanded mission, Weander now oversees USACE’s engineering engagement across Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and 33 partner nations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
