USACE connects with industry to prepare for major Guajataca Dam repairs

Latin America and Caribbean District employees brief contractors during the Guajataca Dam Industry Outreach Event that took place July 28-29, 2026, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The two day event provided technical information on upcoming repair and construction requirements for the Guajataca Dam and was part of a USACE effort to prepare industry partners for two major contract opportunities. The session introduced contractors to the engineering challenges and acquisition strategy for the dam’s permanent repair project.
