Office of Small Business Programs

Small Business is the heart of the U.S. economy and a very vital part of the Corps' acquisition policy. The Caribbean District fully supports the national policy on providing small and disadvantaged businesses the opportunity to provide supplies and services. Our office is responsible to support Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and any other geographical area in the Caribbean as directed by USCAE HQ and the South Atlantic Division. Our primary focus and/or intent is to facilitate small businesses access to contracting opportunities, train and counsel businesses for success, provide the most current small business initiatives and project status, and establish a broad base of capable suppliers to support the Army's mission. We look forward in assisting small businesses (SB), small disadvantaged businesses (SDB) including the 8(a) small business development program, women-owned small businesses including economically disadvantaged women owned small business  (WOSB/EDWOSB), historically underutilized business zone small businesses (HUBZone), service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB/VOSB) in competing for prime contracts and subcontracting opportunities with large businesses.
