The newly redesignated U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Latin America & Caribbean District unveils its new unit logo following its transition from the Caribbean District on June 23, 2026, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The redesignation reflects the district’s expanded mission under the U.S. Army Western Hemisphere Command, unifying USACE’s engineering responsibilities across Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and 33 nations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The district now oversees a multibillion‑dollar portfolio spanning more than seven million square miles, delivering civil works, military construction, navigation, emergency response, and international support across the region.
